Works great, I can shoot my .45 without hearing protection and it doesnt ring my ears with this thing, unfortunately, it catches the outside of my barrel and rubs causing malfunctions such as not feeding the round into he chamber.

I liked the way it looked in the webpage pics but was worried that it might decrease reliability but for the price I figured I'd give it a try. Went on easy, no difference in reliability at all and recoil is reduced with hot loads. Anyone that has a .45 should buy one.

The military should have made these standard rather than the regular barrel bushing. The part is well machined and the bluing is good. Installation took me 1 minute to just pop out the bushing and replace it with this brake. I can't tell a whole lot of difference shooting it but I'm not shooting heavy loads. I can't wait to try it at night! Definitely a good deal for a good price.

it worked well cutting the recoil down about half. but i have a 4 inch barrel and the barrel kept getting stuck in the muzzle brake cousing the gun to jam up non stop. it will probley work good on a 3 inch barrel.

    Sorry, it will not. It is specifically made for the Colt .45 Automatic to replace the barrel bushing.

    Due to the many variations of .45 automatics on the marker, It will only for sure work on those that are exactly Colt compatible. Guns that are heavily customized or that have a considerable number of custom and aftermarket parts my require fitting for it to be able to be installed.

    Unfortunately, I don't have any way to tell you if it will fit that exact pistol since we don't have any way to test on every Colt clone. "Looks Like A Colt" and "Almost The Same As a Colt" etc is not necessarily the same as a Colt... The .45 muzzle brake will work perfectly on a Colt 1911 .45 pistol. YOU would have to determine if your pistol is identical to the original Colt or if there are some changes that could possibly create issues that would make it not fit since we would have no way to determine that.
MUZZLE BRAKE FOR .45 AUTO

Installation is quick and easy.  No tools are required other than what you would normally need to disassemble your firearm for cleaning.

1. Ensure that your pistol is not loaded.  Remove magazine.  Retract slide and visually verify that the chamber is emply.

2. Depress plunger, turn and remove barrel bushing.  Use caution since the plunger is under spring pressure.

3. Replace barrel bushing with Muzzle Brake.

4. After assembly, manually retract the slide to verify fit and function prior to firing.

Installation is complete and ready for use.
